Tell me that I need help, stop me before I buy another boat. During the last month I have made offers on a Post 42 Sportfish, 32 Shannon Sedan Bridge, 2 Houseboats and now a 43 Gulfstar Trawler.

I have admired Gulfstars-but are they lovely enough to temp me back to boats.

I placed ads to sell my Boat slip in Baltimore-found a buyer and got offered this Gulfstar same day. One way selling the slip=totally out never visit West Marine again-and on the other hand get a fantastic bargain of a boat very like the one I just sold. The difference between 43 ft of Gulfstar Fiberglass vs 43 ft of Sutton Steel.

So are Gulfstar 43s more artful than Bristol, Grand Banks, etc. Trawlers, good lines?

I'll visit her soon-but Its gotta be beautiful!

Don't know when to stop.

decisions, decisions, decisions. Why are you leaving West Marina???

Gulfstar 36' & 43' are perhaps the best deal on the water IMO. Most of them can be had for $500/foot or less in some cases and seem a real bargain for a budget minded refit/facelift. Most of them have Perkins engines which are fairly reliable and easy on the parts budget.

FF would call them a "cheap round trip". Buy-use-sell without taking a beating.
