While low on snap & sizzle, bling, or the best / newest of anything, it's big on love...breakfast at the helm this day consisted of scambled eggs with pepperoni, pancakes, and coffee. :thumb:

I like the view outside ... yammy too ... :)

We drive from the F.B. about 95% of the time so at the lower helm I made a pipe extension for a standard pedestal to raise it to a comfortable position. It can easily be lowered to use as a salon chair as it is most of the time. I added a hand hold bar to have something to hang onto when it gets bumpy. Same instrumentation for both stations, except for an additional depth finder on FB.

About the only picture I have that shows much of the helm. My middle son at the helm is serving in the Air Force currently stationed in SE Asia.

Same last year??? Deja vu! :socool: :D

As you can tell... salon station not often used... It's the bridge for us! Haven't a pict for up there - lol

My helm is…well…like me, pretty modest really. I like to think of it as not pretty, but functional. Catch the rear vision mirror. Very handy for anticipating being waked if one has sort of lost concentration a bit - no, not nodded off or I'd fall off the seat. Also good for taming the flowing locks after coming in out of the wind as well. Sorry, had to include the chain-counter - it's my only claim to having something most appear not to have.

Older photo of my Admiral at the helm. New electronics and teak framing around the windows now.

Awwww, that's gotta be photo-shopped Heales, it's far too pristine...and you could never attract a chick like that...:D

For all of the other aesthetic challenges Bucky may have the Pilothouse is not one of them.

Well, at least Larry has good taste in women.:D

The helm's not much to look at....but I hardly notice.

Our helm position is a little crowded, but works fine.

The best feature is that I can also reach throttle and gears from side deck.

The helm seat is removable for day trips.

Here's the flybridge helm on Beachcomber. There's seating for 12 so it's pretty comfortable even with a crowd on board...

Here's the lower helm. I almost never use it because it's so much more fun to drive from above...

Here's mine. Lower helm, I usually use the bridge, but it's tied down for winter.
