My trawler has been in the boat yard since July getting a face lift and heart transplant. Set the new John Deere in the boat today. Thought you might like to see a few pics. Yes that's me in the picture.

Gee, Ted. That little bugger sure looks lonely in there. Easy fit on the stringers, though. What about the new prop size?

Lots new and reworked in the engine room. Will post a thread with all the work once I'm back in the water and heading toward Florida.

Will put the old one (28 x 28) on for the trip to Crisfield (15 miles) to see how over propped I am. Then will order the new prop which I expect will be around 28 x 24).

I love the look of new engines, but its hard to explain exactly why?:)
 
I agree with ya, hey what model/HP is that engine?

John Deere 4045TFM75 with a HP range of 107 to135 HP. Mine will be set at 107 HP. Should cruise at 7 knots and WOT of 8.5 +/- knots.
