Underway Today

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

Oh, I totally understand. I've never boated in the NE and didn't know sea states there. I hate beam seas that go on forever and 26 hours is forever. :banghead:

Thanks from him! I did, thanks for asking. It's a bit of a story and I'm going to post in a new thread called white exhaust smoke.

On marinetraffic you haven't moved in almost three hours. I check on you periodically and it's on the same spot. What happened? You show right off Atlantic City.
This area isn't well covered the land based receivers are far and few between. Form just north of Atlantic City past Barnegat is the black hole for web based AIS systems. If you are running Class B AIS you don't show up very often on the on-line based AIS systems when in the above mentioned area.

The trip south has begun. Left Southwest Harbor Maine today under cloudy skies. Final destination is Ft Lauderdale

Have a good trip Daddyo. I hope we get some of the superb 'underway' photos like we did on the trip North!

Thanks and I'll try.

Aww! You didn't wave as you went by us Mark.

And, hopefully, no more "This Sucks" hurricane posts.

It's a beautiful morning in Camden Maine. Great weather today and tomorrow then all hell brakes loose for the weekend. Trying to decide on an overnight to Boston tonight to ride out the nasty stuff down there. This time of year this far north makes for very small weather windows.

So what happens when your intense light array blinds an approaching boats skipper????

What happens when i approach a crab boat in the bearing sea on my way to Russia?

I mean are serious? :banghead::banghead:

Beautiful pics. Brings back some good memories.

Rockland and the Rockland light with the Camden hills beyond. Snow and 30+ MPH this weekend! !

Thanks for the update and great pic's, not a bad stop to hold up and like you said the weather windows get short around now, you are fortunate that you don't mind traveling at night.
