Is anyone going to the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show?
I'll be in the Rocna booth on Thursday and some times on the weekend.
The booth will be in the tent between the Convention Center and the water.

If I'm not in the booth, my friend Darrell will be. His badge may say Dave on it if I can't get one in his name. If you go by the booth and you see him there, walk in and say "Hi Darrell!" Like you know him. It will drive him nuts trying to figure out where he knows you from. Ask him how Cindy is.

Lauderdale marina

We, wife and I, are coming Friday PM-Sunday. Plan to check out electronics. Will stop by.

You booth is too small, it's at the wrong show, it's in the wrong place, and you can't carry enough anchors to be ward off pirates...

:) :) :)

Chris, you know me too well!
RTF, He is often asked where is his other brother Darrell.
BNOFT, Look forward to meeting you.

I'll be wandering the show Thursday through Saturday. I plan on stopping by Rocna to discuss anchors for our Northwest series. I will look for "Darrel". :)

Hi Peter,
I'll trade you a bunch of anchors for one of your pretty boats!
Do you have a boat in the show? If I take my shoes off can I come aboard?

I'll be in the booth on Thursday and Darrell will be there Friday through Monday.
Someone from Canada Metals will be in the booth as well.

I'll be spending time in the Lehr Outboard booth as well.

Thanks.....

Hull #2 "The Path" will be displayed by a broker there. The boat is a re-sale. I don't know what dock it will be on yet.

Parks - I'm over there on business - plan to attend at least Thursday, maybe Friday. I'll try to find you.

On Thursday I'll be in the Rocna booth which is on the mainland in a tent near the convention center. They call it the Sailfish Pavilion because it's next to that neat fountain.

I will be working in Booth 724 in the design tent at Bahia Mar. I plan on enjoying a few refreshing beverages and enjoying the view. Might accidently sell something, maybe :whistling:

I'm at the show. We've got the new Vulcan by Rocna Anchor hidden under the table. I'll pull it out for my TF friends.

If you come by over the weekend, don't forget to say hello to Darrell like you've know him for years. His badge will say DV Tidewell.

Be there around 1:30, I'll have to takes some photo's of the new rocna for our TF'ers not attending!

Great to meet you, Parks. Appreciate the look at the new offering. I will not comment
as to the Vulcan's attributes, other than to say I want one. I've been around this forum long enough to know what happens when the subject of anchoring comes up.

SBU22, It was a pleasure putting a face with your screen name. Thanks for stopping by. It looks now like I won't get my hands on the Vulcan anchors until late December.

Oliver did you make it by the booth, I missed you if you did.

It is truly an international boat show. At one point I was talking to an Australian about an anchor designed by a Kiwi that is made in China in a factory owned by a Canadian company. The Australian owned a company that buys elk antlers from the USA to sell as dog chew toys. It was a strange encounter but interesting.

Yes, Kiwi's and sheep were mentioned in the same sentence.

There was a large above ground pool in the tent I was in. It was used to demo various small watercraft. The most interesting was a paddle board that an attractive young lady was doing heads stands and yoga on.

Capt. Bernardo from Lehr demonstrated a propane outboard on an inflatable. The guy can really handle a small boat. He made the inflatable move sideways, on purpose! It was very impressive.

Parks, I didn't make it by the Rocna booth. Was in a hurry to get to the N's. Are you going to be at Main show at Bahia Mar this weekend? Sunday I plan on going and hanging with James Knight, and maybe walk around a little.

Hi Oliver,
I'll be in my store today. I'm going to try to get over to Bahia Mar Saturday or Sunday.

Alright if you go sunday gimme a call and we can meet up.

Oliver was too busy familiarizing himself with the pilothouse of the N68 to make it to your booth Parks :)

Can you imagine how big an anchor he'd put on a 68?

Has two pulpits. So i was thinking a Ultra and a Rocna. 400lb'ers should do the job. Oh and 1/2 chain. :D

Parks and Oliver with a GOOD anchor! Oliver said it wasn't big enough.
Rocna Rocks! Yes I drank the Kool Aid.

Oliver is shorter than I pictured him...unless Parks is really tall.
