Those are very long snouts! Good thing they're friendly and don't have external teeth.

We're heading back over, we left port with a N68 that just got off the ship yesterday and heading to Stuart for commissioning. ImageUploadedByTrawler Forum1405513514.641770.jpgImageUploadedByTrawler Forum1405513527.336067.jpgImageUploadedByTrawler Forum1405513540.819681.jpg

Capt Bill
yes I snorkeled at Dean's Blue Hole. It is disconcerting to swim over the hole from 4 feet deep to 660 feet in the space of only 10 to 15 feet away.
I was visiting a friend who was born on long Island and grew up there. He said the locals did not like to swim there as it was such an unknown.

Currently in Great Harbor, Tuesday we'll head to Harbor Island. We really don't have a schedule and are just taking it day by day. Finally got some good wifi so I'll upload some pics.

Plans changed we're now at Harbor Island, the crossing from Great Harbor to Harbor Island via Providence channel was bumpy 6-8's occasional 9's at about 6 seconds (guestimation). We were concerned about our small CC in tow, but it did just fine. We're currently at Harbor Island Club & Marina, it's beautiful here, glad we came. Couple days from now we're going head to Hope Town then stay there for a few days then make our way home. Then we're going head back to Bimini for a tournament.

Which pilot did you use to bring you into HI?

Me, myself & I. ;) We came in on low tide (not purposely, just worked out like that) to top it off. It was pretty simple and straight forward, defeinetly couldn't of done it w/o the FB tho. We never touched bottom once.

Yeah it can be straight forward and simple on a good day. :)

And a FB makes a big difference. It very nice to be able to look down and out into the water when poking your way in between and around reefs and shoals that's for sure.

A nice spot for lunch on HI is the Blue Bar at Pink Sands.

If you want to do something off HI, you can take your tender over to Bottom Harbour to the S/SE across the bay there on Eleuthera to the Bottom Harbour Club. Look for the little dock coming off the beach. They usually have good local food, drinks and live music some weekends. The beach is nice to. And you pretty much always see turtles feeding in the grass flats there.

Thanks I'll check it out. We're going take the dink up to Spanish wells today and see what's to be seen.

There are two good grocery stores there as well as a nice restaurant on the east tip of the island called the Shipyard. It has outside dinning with a great view over to Gun Point on Eleuthera. There are also a couple of ships store there as well.

I'd recommend renting a golf cart to tool around in for the day.

Well, were currently at West End after spending yesterday night on the hook at Great Sale Cay, tomorrow we'll cross back over to Fort Lauderdale and that'll will be that. I'll upload the final set if pictures then. We've had a GREAT time.
