Great forum. *I've been browsing for quite a while and appreciate all the expertise.
Now that I'm a proud trawler owner, thought I'd better join.

Just bought a 37' Puget Trawler in pretty good shape except it doesn't have a working low oil pressure/high temp alarm. *The gages work well but need to figure out why the alarm doesn't work and get it fixed. *There is a black box in the panel with the words "G&L Electronics, ELM-1" It seems to be the brains for the alarm and the warning lights--have no idea what it does or what it's called--could this be the cause of my problems? *Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Look on the Cole Hersey site , an alarm is under $20.00 or so.

Light flashes , horn blows.

These usually run of a dedicated sender , not the gauge.

Just looked and it's on sale for $14.99. Thanks a lot--this should get that little problem fixed.
