if I were you I would go for a new one,thats a very important part of the engine, I bought one a few yrs ago and I think it was 400$ from sundure

Yes in some cases they can be rebuilt. And there is nothing wrong with a properly rebuilt unit.

Mr. M. sorry to hear of your accident. Speedy recovery. I think the re builder was just a rad shop with a reputation of repairing all types of heat exchangers.
