• Trawler Forum Classified Posting Guidelines
    • We expect ads placed to be related to the topic of this forum.
    • Ads that are inactive for 180 days or longer may be moved to the Classified Archive and locked. Ads may be relisted if the item is still current. Alternatively, owners may contact a Moderator to reinstate an archived ad.
    • The Classified section is for advertising, members are asked to refrain from posting discussions to a Classified Ad. Please start a discussion thread or PM the owner for discussions.
    • Do not hijack another member's ad by posting unsolicited commentary. Example: if a member has posted an ad offering an anchor for sale, don't add a post to his thread stating that you have an anchor you'd like to get rid of also. Posts deemed as unsolicited commentary may be removed.
    • For your own security, do NOT include your e-mail or phone number in your ad. Instead request that interested parties contact you via PM (private message) to provide owners contact info.
    • Brokers, Dealers, or those with a commercial interest in a sale are prohibited from posting in Classifieds.
    • Only Trawler Forum Commercial Members may post ads in the Commercial section. You must be a designated Commercial Member to start threads in this section of the forum. (Contact a moderator if you have questions about this)
    • Don't post links to commercial sites where you are also offering the boat, such as eBay, Craigslist or Yachtworld, etc. unless it contains a more in-depth description, additional information or pictures.
    • Place only one ad per item (you may repost only when your ad has expired and been removed).
    For Sale ads MUST include:
    • Asking price
    • Location
    • A Basic Description
    • Clear statement whether you are the owner or non-owner (posting for friend, relative, or acquaintance)
    • Don't forget to select: FOR SALE, WANTED or FREE in the Title block.
All ads should also include ALL the following:
    • Pertinent maintenance and condition information
    • Exterior picture or pictures
    • Interior picture or pictures (boats)
For maximum impact & exposure, it is suggested the Ad Title include: Year, Manufacturer, Model, Length, Price, and Location or at the very top of the ad body. When your item has sold or the ad is no longer relevant: Please post a Reply to the ad that the item is SOLD or click "Report Post" on post 1 of the thread to ask a moderator to archive the ad. Ads may be moved or removed by our staff at any time for any reason. All ads must comply with site rules. Thanks for your cooperation.
  • Avoid Scams.

Our classifieds are free and anyone registered here is welcome to post an ad.
Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or feels wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers agents and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.

Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

Alemao,
If yourself or anyone else wishes to see the full advert on Apollo Duck, the advert number is 28492.
I didn't post full advert as I didn't wish to break any TF rules.
I hope this is helpful.

Hello, in respect of our Birchwood centre cockpit boat for sale as advertised above.
In view of the distance/time/trust etc. and as a gesture of goodwill.
If a member of Trawler Forum purchases our boat on trust 'as seen, as advertised,' we will reimburse the airfares (by coach) and subsequent train travel from their home direct to Narbonne, to the successful buyer, up to a value of US$ 5,000 upon production of receipts.

Hello, I have had many enquiries with different requests about the above boat for sale and to clear up any misunderstanding over the price. The original price when the advert above was first posted was 65,000 Euro's of which I offered a 5,000 dollar discount to cover travel expenses (with receipts) to Trawler forum members.
I have since reduced the price on Apollo Duck, advert ID number 28492 to 59,950 Euro's.

A member of Trawler Forum wished instead the boat to a 'turnkey' deal, instead of the airfare discount.
So to make the situation absolutely above board and clear, the price of the boat today 02/01/2015 is 59,950 Euro's.
I will offer either a rebate for airfares(with receipts) up to 5,000 Euro's for an 'as seen', bareboat purchase, OR, the boat prepared for a 'turnkey' purchase with full water tanks, full tanks of 450 litres of diesel,, crockery, freshly laundered bedding for double bed, lift out & anti fouled, new anodes fitted, full gas bottles and hull inspection certificate for insurance purposes, literally walk on with your suitcase and turn the key, cast off and go at a price of 59,950 Euro's.
The air fare discount is NOT included in this deal price. Moorings are NOT included but help will be given to find alternative moorings if required.
Each person has different requirements and needs and we try to be as accommodating as possible but it is a commercial transaction, I hope this is perfectly clear and avoids any misunderstanding.
Please take note, the financial situation at the moment with a strengthening dollar and weakening Euro make this an exceptional offer that should not to be missed.
I will be leaving France to return to Ireland as an ex chairman & commodore guest of honour of the Inland waterways of Ireland at the 50th anniversary rally, any deal must be absolutely completed by the 22nd of April, if no deal is concluded we will take the boat off the market and keep it for our family's use.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we reluctantly have to withdraw our Birchwood shown above from sale. A short story long as the Trawler Forum and it's members deserve a full explanation of events.
We've had a mooring in Narbonne for our Birchwood for some years and it's our cruising base for France, Spain and Italy, we also have rental properties nearby which we manage.
We had an agreement with the port captain to continue to PAY IN FULL for him to keep our berth, we would sell the Birchwood and the port captain would have use of our berth until we returned with our other boat.
Family changes dictated that we needed a larger boat so we bought a Broom 42 in Ireland with the intention of cruising it from Belturbet in Ireland to the South of France to our berth in Narbonne where she would be based.
To take full benefit of this cruise it would take from June 2015 until September 2016, leaving Ireland, via Great Britain to France, winter over in Dunkirk then in spring 2016 up into Belgium, Holland, Germany and back to Narbonne in France by the autumn 2016..
A change of Maire (Mayor) and port captain after local elections has now decreed that a, people having berths in the port must live on board for a minimum of 6 months of the year and b, no berth can be reserved for more than 6 months without a permanent occupant. This has totally screwed up our meticulous forward planning and thrown a proverbial spanner in the works and now means that we have to keep our Birchwood until next April in order to keep our own berth/cruising base.
By nature I'm on the square, straight dealing, talking and I absolutely abhor people who break their word so you can imagine my feelings over this snafu.
I can only wholeheartedly apologize for this mess which is beyond our control.
The Birchwood will be for sale next year for anyone with long term plans in mind and we'll do everything we can to assist prospective buyers.
