My Willard 40 Northstar at a marina in the Broughtons, BC

Haven't really spent much time staring at my boats stern but make up for it resting my feet on it. When I get tired of this activity I'll snap a picture from the other side.

And new to this picture I have just recently replaced the teak step treads and swim platform teak with Starboard, sorry teak lovers!

Our Tolly in her slip... getting ready for fun weekend... at rest nosed into tules getting ready for a swim! We don't keep her for parade looks... we do keep her in excellent mechanical condition for constant FUN! One of the most often used/enjoyed boat-butts on the water!

I'm enjoying looking at the photos in this thread--nice boats everyone!

Here is Sherpa on the hard at Progressive Marine in St. Petersburg with swim ladder down and Bimini extended. This was snapped after she received a major overhaul and restoration.

And in action off NC coast. Was in a hurry to get back, hadn't had time to unclutter deck. Sort of embarrassing. It was rough out the inlet so bike was safer laid down. 20kts, 2000rpm, 11.8gph. Mostly run 7.7kts, 950rpm, 1.9gph.

eyschulman,
Those props look way far apart. Must be very maneuverable at slow speeds.

I like the very long straight run aft. Must move along very level and w minimal fuss at 12 knots or so. Much like a lobster boat but not so fat. I'll bet she's lean too. At 12 knots I'll bet her efficiency is excellent considering her size (volume). Very nice boat.

Many boats here is side view and other hull views.

There's a lot of interesting asses on this forum. Er, sorry, sterns.

I really like how this post was three years old, then someone revived it, and two plus more pages are added.

The photos and comments are very enjoyable.

Sometimes, old posts are the best posts.

eyschulman,
Very little wave making potential there. A joy to see.
