When I was selling sugar machinery I spent lots of time in Venezuela and drank lots of Pampero, AKA "Caballito frenado" I still have some bottles of their "Aniversario"
And Santa Teresa, AKA "pecho cuadrado" both good rums.
But years ago most folks were drinking Old Parr or Buchanan Scotch I guess hard times are there now!
 
Picked up a bottle. It ranks right up there with the best. I'll have to sip on it slowly.
