Interesting development today as Grand Banks announced, subject to shareholder approval and many other things, their plan to purchase Palm Beach Motor Yachts and for Mark Richards to become CEO of the combined group. Like any proposed deal, it might never come to fruition but if it does, will represent a major change.

Australian builder. 45, 50, 55 and 65' Express and Flybridge models. All use Volvo IPS systems. They look a lot like Downeaster or Lobster boats. I'd see them somewhat along the lines of Grand Banks Eastbay.

Their main claim to fame is Richards, who is a 7 time winner of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

Thanks !

There is a news item about this in today`s "Boating" Column in the "Business Day" section of Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.
Palm Beach Motor Yachts are built in New South Wales (state),Australia. Handsome high end boats, here`s a pic of a used 2010 Palm Beach 50 for sale at $1,375,000 AUD.
