Mr. Hendo. It's obvious what that angle iron is for mate. Where else are you going to put your libation when you're doing a bottom job that's close at hand? JW (Black) isn't the best scotch but it'll have to do for purposes of illustration.

Clearly it is the latest DARPA designed hydrodynamic wing to allow for full planing speeds, it would appear that the surface piercing prop has been removed to keep its design secret and from the watching eyes of the enemy.
The cable and lock are there to keep someone from walking away with the hyper light weight carbon fiber hull (to allow planing speeds) disguised as a old wood hull.
Clearly the government's trying to hide the latest tech buy putting it in full view of all,

That boat is right next to my Willy at Latitude Marine in LaConner WA. Part of Willy's keel is in the last pic. I've been mildly lusting after that boat since we hauled out there.
Unfortunately I can't offer much information as I've never seen the owners and haven't heard any marina gossip either. Until now I did'nt know her power either. This is one boat that definitely not over powered. Would IMO make an excellent candidate for a re-man Cummins. If on a budget (as most lookers would be) perhaps the Lehman would serve. I'm sure she'll be sold very soon at that price but Who knows the boat may be full of water for all I know.
As to the angle steel on the keel I'm positive it was put there to act like a bilge keel. So somebody thought there was too much rolling. She has very slack bilges so she'll be considerably less stable initially than say a GB. No snap roll here.
There is a cable aft but a different one I think. The present cable is anti-theft for the aluminum ladder.
Anybody I know gonna look at it?
