House Battery Questions

I have three questions but will put them in separate threads because they ar likely to go in different directions

1. Just bought 8 new Trojan T105 6vDC battery replacements. Trojan specs the amp hour rating at different drawn down periods. For 5 hr they are rated at 185 amp-hr and for 20 hr they are rated at 225 amp-hr. So that is a pretty big difference. In setting up the inverter/charger, one of the items to enter is the total house amp-hr. So should I be using the lower or higher specification?


(2001 Trace Voyager 3,500W inverter/charger)

I think it's most common to use the 20-hour rating.

ah ha - thanks Chris. I DID look for this both on the Trojan site and in the Trace manual.

20 Hour is the industry standard , the scammers will use the 100! hour rate as its larger.
