Great books on storm tactics & weather (free!)

While I'm sure those are wonderful books, and I'll download them, actual rough water practice cannot be replicated.

Rough water seamanship is a learned skill, one any of us can learn. We just have to take the time to do it, and thats through practice.
 
You're right Kevin, although there is a limit. I occasionally go out on an rough day with a buddy who has good sea legs, just to get a feel for how my boat (and myself) handle the conditions.

But there is rough, and there is ROUGH. I wouldn't actively seek out boating in 40 knots of wind just for practice, but I would like to have some ideas on how to play the game if I ever end up in that situation.
 
I'm loading them on my Kindle. Makes for good reading on those days when we're aboard and not much else is going on.
