How to build a pop-pop boat

I did this but used a paddle wheel and rubber band. Was much faster but didn't go far.

The little boiler is very clever.

No, I'm home, but you can run over to Rum Bay, and tell them to save me some.

Note: My boat is in the boat yard for about a month, so this is what happens.

Don, your video leaves me kind of lacking. I'm a little confused...

Was that milk carton a displacement hull or a semi-displacement hull?

If I double the size of the 'boiler', can I get it to plane?

What if i need to anchor overnight? Kite string or necklace chain?

And is it a yacht or a boat?? I Like it!

Probably something similar to museum putty. You can use it over and over.

Maybe it's a wrong coast thing.

Eric, I think Blue Tack is more of a British thing.

Flywright, don't use that heavy gold necklace you wear on the bow. If you start hanging all that bling you wear on the boat you will sink it. Bling won't make it a yacht.

Without a thruster it needs twins.

"Pop Pop" is my youngest (2 yrs April 3rd) granddaughter's tag for me. I'm honored to have a boat designed with same name. BTW: Harlow was born on my 60th B-Day... so... I bequeathed all B-Days to her for the next 50 years! That means I will forever be 60! Well, at least till I reach 110 anyway!

Wonder what the hp to movement ratio is on Pop Pop boat. In larger scale could solar energy be used to heat the boiler... reflectors, mirrors, magnifying glass and such?? Boiler replacement water would be close at hand. Think of all the moving parts to the engine - Ah, None!

We like to start em young!
