Today was one of those days you don't get too often, so we took advantage of it and took the boat out for a brief cruise.

Don't ya just hate it when the wind howls and the waves are tall like that!

Nice day on the water. Ya gotta love those!

Isn't they it always is in Florida

We finally got rain , man do we need it.

Whattayamean? You live in Florida...the sunshine state. Isn't it always like that when it's not raining? :D :hide:

Hey Flywright today was a great day with boats out everywhere you would love boating out here at least on the west coast of FL it makes Alameda seem like Alaska no bad feelings intended.

We are at an anchorage where not a breath of wind 70 degrees today and tomorrow and winds around 5 knots forecasted not bad for Feb.

Hope all is well in CA

More pictures. Note in pic 6: The bipolar Florida weather in the sky.

None taken! Sounds great, Gerald! Wish I was there. The Admiral just returned from Venice, FL. The closest she got to boating was a kayak with a very senior aunt and uncle.

We're not in the 70's any longer now that we have some of the rain we've been waiting for. Here's a shot of us suffering through our winter last month. I think it was only 62-65F on those days. Brrrrrr...

You guys are really not very nice...

Wasn't too bad up north in DC last weekend. After a week of snow and single digit lows, we were in the 60s on Saturday. Was great to get off the dock and fire up the bbq.

Been pretty nice weather here on the upper Mis river for a change, still some ice in the harbor that'll be gone in a day or two.

We've spent the last 3+ weeks cruising. Up to Stuart, through Okeechobee and ended up as far West as New Orleans. Stayed put one rainy day in Apalachicola, but other than that have not seen anything over 2' the entire trip and most has been more in the 1' range. It's been calmer than the Lake we use to live on in NC. Beautiful cruising weather.

Last time we were in this area of the Gulf, a few months ago, we went from 2-4' to 4-6' and had 6-8' before we reached our destination. Then waited several days for a window to proceed further.

Happy as a clam just to get to the boat through the snow drifts! C'mon Spring!
