I did read an article about this. Now common in the bvi. It will be state side by next fall if I had to guess. Good news if you can call it that is it is not life threatening and has no lasting effects. I was a little unclear if one could be re infected with it multiple times.
 
Actually, the link works now. There is a concern re chikungunyah getting into Australia now also. Mainly the northern tropical parts, but here in Brisbane we are on the border of that zone so in no way out of the firing line. You might be ok in Sydney Bruce, but check those boat screens anyway.
 
Actually dengue fever cases have been reported quite a bit on the east coast of Florida and a friend's son contracted it last year in Miami.
Being that its also mosquito borne, I guess anyone could get it!
