Please post pics of your four legged crew.

This is James, a beagle/schnauzer mix rescue dog and back up fog horn.

After searching, I see this topic has been covered previously, but hey, who doesn't want to re-up pics of their best friends.

Coco (RIP) on the Camano after his favorite sport, pulling the stuffing from a toy animal.
The first time he was on the Monk I was walking him around the deck he stoped at a scupper and raised his leg that was his spot from then on. Maybe the previous owner's dog had used it before?

Today we had to put our old pooch down, he tried to fight old age and had been successful over the past few months this time it was not to be and so we had to make that very tough decision that we all wish was not needed.

RIP old Kai you were a good mate travelling down the inland river.

So sorry for your loss. Soon enough, the years joy he brought you will overwhelm the pain of him being gone. Take care.

Really sorry to read that gwkiwi. We had a put our pet German Sheppard down a few years ago and it was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. Best wishes.

This is Frankie, our chocolate labrador.

Well said, cowdogs. Yes, gwkiwi, sorry for your loss.

Hate to hear that, gwkiwi. We've outlived several over the years and it never gets easier.

Angus, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, is our current "trawler dog."

(Now all we need is the trawler.)

AWESOME! I peed in my scuppers just to let the dog see it was the place to go. It didnt work.

Bentley, our long hair Chihuahua. Loves boating and the water.

This has been done before, but here again is a picture of Oscar, the standard poodle, masquerading as a Newfoundland.

Hint: it's the hat.

These are our boat dogs. Max on the left ( a rescue), and Maddie on the right, (she grew up living on the boat).

Our dog Marley got hit by a car the day before we moved to Wilmington, NC, a coastal town. The pathetic irony of it has been hard to accept.

Man it hurts. Many condolences, Kai looks like a great boat mate. I know you'll miss him.

This is Frankie, our chocolate labrador.

My wife would be all over that. She was always trying to keep the old boy's hair out of the cabin. Here, he has snuck in again...

And all our dogs want is to be close too us..... Frankie is sitting at my feet as I type this :)

gwkiwi, my condolences for the loss of Kai. Holly, my last of 6 Shepherds (though there was perhaps a touch of kelpie) left us in September, nearly 14. It gets easier, but it takes a while.

Here's my two

Yes they do indeed have a way of getting close to us. It is really tough losing one. Here is Troy crossing the Gulf Stream.

Scrappy. What a great name for a great dog.:thumb:

Zain is our 130lb Beach Master; if he hops off the dinghy relaxed we know there are no bears close by. He doesn't chase anything in the bush, and even stood beside me watching two wolves harass a bull, cow, and calf moose only a couple hundred yards away. Best bush dog in the world! The Yorkies of course, are just plain nuts.
