After we have sailed for 40 years with several crossings of the Atlantic and in the whole Med we bought a Selene 60' in spring 2013. The first trip with apprx. 1,800 nm led us from the Adriatic Sea to South of Spain. Next year we travel to England, and then we intend to continue one year later on the northern route to Canada. Does anyone have some Trawler-Experience in Iceland and Greenland during summer-months?

Welcome,

Please keep us all posted on your travels.

Continuing further west, I was also just reading that the Northwest Passage was not usable this year.
But I will be heading east next July, also stopping in Iceland and the southern tip of Greenland. We shall probably pass in the night.

I'm an icelandic native and I would recommend just getting the correct charts as they are fairly accurate and the almanac published yearly, you can hit me up before your visit and I could make some arrangements to get the almanac, it includes pilotage and essential info on ports.
