Anti-rolling tank

Looked at that video a number of times, and at one point thought the conditions for the rolling vessel were slightly more extreme? But the again perhaps that was the rolling vessel making things a bit more 'rolly'.

Anyway I wonder how large that system needs to be on board?. Nice damping.

I have always wanted to try an antirolling tank on my Willard and I have the room to do so albeit after removing the aft deck. From what I have read, they are never used on small vessels (<60') and I have read about everything I could find. Also the calculations for design are well beyond my arithmatic abilities. Professor Bass (canada) has designed a number of tanks for small 65' fishing trawlers and states that they need only hold 2-3% of the vessel's displacement depending on , ampung other things, the tank's height in the vessel. This seems like little more than double the normal fresh water supply aboard a cruising vessel.
Does anyone know of a success story with these tanks?
