For Sale: Burmese Teak 4/4 and 8/4 lumber

I'm trying to find out if anyone here has any interest in any Burmese Teak. I have a project on my boat that I will need to buy a decent amount of 4/4 and
8/4 .I have a source for this lumber. This is "The Real McCoy " not plantation grown. It has been legally cut and a certificate of it's origin can be provided .No body is obligated to purchase any, I'm just trying to find out if there is any interest in any.
I'm looking at purchasing in late December or early January.

The price per board ft will be between $25 and $30 per board ft for 4/4.Wider boards generally more per board ft than narrow boards and 8/4 will be a little more per board ft than 4/4 . I can surface and rip boards to width if needed.

I'm interested and need about 7 board feet of 4/4 (I need 3/4 finished). Boards no narrower than 2 1/2" and no wider than 4". They would need to be between 2 and 3 feet long. Surfaced would be awesome but I can rip as needed.

Ok thanks I'm going to check with my source on plantation teak as well to see if I help get the price down some . It's just not nearly as tight grain as Bermese nor is the color as pretty .

I guess it's hard to get interest up with an empty wagon.What kind of prices are most of you paying for Burmese Teak?

I think for most of us that unless we have a project in mind then we don't know what to buy or how much. I have both African Mahogany and Teak in and on my boat but as for buying ahead I won't do it. I have done that before and most of it is still sitting around. Won't get rid of it but I'll only buy what I need when I need it and deal with the problem at that time.

Now maybe if it was Gumwood. That's the hull/deck joint cover and heavy rub strip on the hull sides but I hope never to need that.

And lead on teak skins?

I buy from Island Teak. Salvaged and milled burmese teak stock reclaimed from cruise ships.
I'm not in any way affiliated with them but have purchased from them in the past. Decking, veneers, custom cut etc., they do ship worldwide. Island Teak - Custom Teak Milling.

I just bought 180 ft 5/4 Bermese teak and it just came in the other day . I bought all 5" wide for my cap rail project and saved a little money . I may have some left over after the project but I won't know for sure until finished .
