Hi,
We have a FL120 on our sailboat and it starts and runs fine, however when underway between 2200 - 2600 rpm (8kts or so) there is a moderate amount of blue smoke visible. Any suggestions on what might cause this? Thanks.

Turning it a little tight, best around 2k, blue smoke is oil black to much fuel.

It means that the rings are getting a little worn. But that engine might go another 5,000 hours.

It could be valve seals leaking just a bit
