Six years ago I replaced my three windshield panels with plastic. The middle one is acrylic and is still clear, the outside one being Lexan are cloudy. Time to do it again. Saw a professional replacing windshields and he was using a white sealant that costs $45.00 a tube, (that's what he told me.) Wouldn't tell me what is was. Any thoughts out there?

Find a sealant for non-porus materials if you're bedding in aluminum, plastic or other non-porus material. But if you are bedding in wood you've got a problem .... Needing to adhere to both porus and non-porus materials.

If you want to redo the bedding fairly often try to use something like Dolfinite that is only a sealant and not an adhesive also like Sika-Flex.

Provided there is a mechanical attachment (screws or bolts) I'd strongly consider butyl rubber. Should be compatible with the window material, easy to use, and easy to clean up.
