Good evening again, wondering if anyone can suggest the best/cheapest place to go looking for internal cabin lighting ? I am thinking of a mix of brass type 'classic boat lights' and modern LED...thoughts please ?

I started making a switch over to LED and found this company had great products and prices.

If you want to retain an old fixture the replacement LED bulbs work fine but we found we liked the warm white bulbs the best for inside the cabin.

I installed four super bright spreader lights last year. Another boat close to mine did his with LED's the year before and the amount of light that actually got to the cockpit wasn't much for the size of his lights. When I put mine on at night, it was like stadium lighting. Mine are so bright I'm thinking of having a separate switch so I only use one. I have two each forward and aft.

Those lights are called Kevin if you want a great outside light.

So you used the spreaders inside or outside Capn ? Forgive my confusion...

+1 for Superbriteleds. Capt. Head are you sure that Kevin was not a confusion of the Kelvin Scale light temperature? Warm white is in the area of 2700.
 
We used basic home/dirt lights fixtures with 12 volt bulbs as the boating ones are to expensive and boaty/shipy for us. Most of our lights were bought at Lows and/or Seattle Lighting. However, if red and white light fixtures are need than you a probable suck with marine.
 
I'm sorry I didn't make that clear. The spreaders are on the mast outside and I wanted a good LED I could use to replace the spot lights I had that literally drained the batteries in a few hours.

I found the Kevin light by Dr. LED a different source than above.

They are completely sealed and so strong you could drive a truck over it and not harm it.

This is the spreader lights and it lights the entire cockpit which will be great for night fishing.

These are small two bulb LED lights I got from superbright LED. These alone light up the back of the boat. I have them under the steps to the fly bridge.
 
Superbrightleds.com good!! I've bought a number of LED's from them... I've converted interior light fixtures to LED's and done other lighting projects...like my engine room, flybridge, and others. They have a wide assortment of LED solutions and their prices are good!
