What am I...? Trawler or Motor Yacht...?

I'm still not of the opinion the A47 isa trawler nor do I think it is a trawler if it's used as such either. Dosn't change the boat one twit.

The boats that became pleasure trawlers were originally called heavy cruisers and they still are. And I think the single element that most often is the primary element of uniqueness that identifies a trawler from other pleasure boats is weight ... usually expressed as displacement. All real trawlers are heavy. That is considerably heavier that most pleasure boats.

If the A47 is considerably heavier than an average cruiser and has a semi disp. hull and appropriate power for 10 knot speeds I'd reverse my opinion and call it a trawler. But I'm quite sure it won't qualify.

As to the motor yacht description it's a tiny bit small but I also think all flush deck boats like the A47 are usually called a flush deck motor yacht. And that is exactly what I think the A47 is. And a fine example at that!
