Remote Camera

Just checking to see if anyone is using a remote camera to monitor lower helm gauges, chart plotter, depth gauge etc from the upper helm instead of directly installing new gauges. Seems much cheaper and avoids water issues. Any suggestions as to particular remote cameras and advice would be appreciated.

Never thought of using cameras that way-I have 2 in the engine room, one facing astern and one, as security-motion activated, facing the salon door. But I don't see why that would not work.
