Shared parts

I see these marking all over on my boat. It seems Gulfstar would make a part that was identical on 2 models and share them. I also see this behind joinery.

I do believe they did "share" or design the boats with common parts in certain uses.... I've noticed the same with our 44 MC.

I've found numerous markings behind panels and furniture. Mostly "36 motor" or "36 trawler". I believe the early sail and power boats shared the same hull, hence the markings.

By the way, your rudder post set up appears to be identical to mine, though I have two. I'm sure they used as much common items as possible.
