Top picture is at my house and it was very striking.
Middle picture is the sun rising just over the pacific as I was leaving the Isthmus Catalina Island
Bottom picture is at my marina just off my boat I was standing at the dock. This is my nightly view. That is Paloes Verdes the sun set behind.

I had just waxed my boat before this trip. My friend in the sailboat wondered what I used! It turns out that one solitary small tree was enough to keep his boat in the shadows! He hates this picture.

A Columbia River sunrise with a very unusual cloud and it's reflected on the water...
Believe it or not, this is a pretty typical sunset around here. Standing next to the Columbia River in front of our house.
Sunset on the Columbia. This was taken near Bridge of the Gods in the Columbia Gorge area.
Sunrise, around 0530 as I was heading back to the marina one beautifully calm morning. That's a light coating of dew on the deck.

Rusty & Flywright have some serious glass on the front of their cameras. Mahal still takes the prize though. Too bad the flash batteries died!

We got up that morning and dinghied over to Cayo Costa and had the entire beach to ourselves for about 2 hours- just us the Kill-Dees, fiddler crabs, and sea gulls. I'm not a beach person, but under those conditions.......
sign me up! If you squint real hard, that cloud looks like a genie's lamp-obviously my first wish was already granted that day!Sunset was closing fast on our way home from that outing. Even though there was a rainbow I was really wishing we'd have stayed put one more night right about then!

Red, that hazy pink horizon looks ominous-"The Fog!"
Don, although Pelican Bay isn't a Wow, for me it certainly is an Ahhh.
I hope I can get my boat back together before all the cool snaps are over so we can enjoy it before the heat sets in.
