Lots of our friends swear by it. We have never stayed there since you are not allowed to go ashore and, until this year, we have always had TiVo along.

AICW thru Camp Lejeune. They close the AICW from time to time for live fire exercises. One of the bridges this morning closed for emergency repairs right after I got passed:thumb: Who knows how long it might be closed, and there is no inside detour. I feel bad for the folks behind me:facepalm:

At the 4.3 knts I'm making right now I might not get there today:eek: I just watched a Carver 440 go hard aground in Bogue Sound.

When I come around Radio Island and I'm in the flood I'm going to need to deploy my sea anhor just to keep from plowing into downtown Beaufort:dance:

There he goes to pull the Carver

Blow out tide?

You're pretty close to slack at the Town Docks... Just take a lap around Morehead or goof around for an hour or less. You'll be fine by then.

All is well here in beautiful Taylor Creek. For those who haven't been to Beaufort, what are you waiting for?;)

Headed to Caspers in Swansboro now. $3.31 with tax!:). The fried oysters on blue cheese grits sounds insanely good. As to the leg, I'm thinking about hacking it off with my diving knife. No mo bedda at all:banghead:
Might have to go peg leg to complete the look.

Not just any fried oysters....buffalo flash fried on top of blue cheese grits!! OMG......We gotta go get some...:thumb: That's at Floyd's 1921 right next to the Yacht Basin. Also a big time favorite of mine is the duck quesadilla at the City Kitchen on 11th street. 2 blocks west? south? from the MHC town docks.

We don't really cruise the NC coast. We're just eating our way from one end to the other.

Thanks, I'm going tomorrow!

Bogue Sound is the pits. Did it once, the rest of the time, outside between Moore Head City and Masonboro Inlet.

You keep taking these pictures and all of a sudden, I don't feel so well <cough>, <cough>, not. sure. I. can. make. it. to. work.

Not feeling. so. good.

Ben, I've seen that impostor over there before.:D

Finally off to semi-open water tomorrow in the Pamlico Sound:thumb:. Thanks to those who offered medical advise and concern. I went to the DR today and I managed to tear the muscles in my leg with my skateboard frolic. I guess my running is out of the question for a while:banghead:

Pics are mostly of the Maritime museums, boathouse, real trawlers and free library here in Beaufort, NC

Did you get to Floyd's 1921?

80 miles tomorrow should get you to Bellhaven or if you are an over-achiever, to the East end of the Alligator-Pungo Canal at the southern end of the Alligator River.

Good luck! Glad you saw the Doc. Take it easy for a while, would ya'?

Thanks! I tried Floyd's but their was nothing there but an empty lot. Did have a nice dinner at Beaufort Grocery Co with friends that pulled up unexpectedly at the marina:thumb:

Well, looks like you've slipped from the 2nd to the 4th round with that move. Your 40 time is going to be a lot slower, and with that judgment, no doubt your Wonderlic score is low. Hopefully you can be coached up to being a contributor in this league.

Oh. Wait. What thread am I on?

Sorry to hear about your leg. Ice for swelling, heat for stretching. Happy draft day and safe travels.

And awaaaaaaayyyyy he goes!
