I've had one of these for maybe 10 years, since it was Follow-Me TV. It's been very windy this week, and I was having to re-adjust the aim every day. The mount was a bit loose, so I tightened it up and that helped. However, I noticed later that the unit seems to have a lot of "play" in it, with the dish moving 3-4 degrees in the wind or more.

Has anyone had one of these "wear out" for lack of a better term? I'm wondering if they have a finite lifespan in this regard, and if they can be rebuilt / repaired?

Yep, the bearings wear out and it gets sloppy although I haven't seen one that shifts 3-4 degrees. You can send it in for a rebuild. Still much cheaper than buying a new one. Also they don't recommend using the new dishes since they are much heavier than the units are rated for and will cause the bearings to wear out and even the shaft to bend and become misaligned.
