Those are the engine stringers. The saloon stern wall will be removable and it will take 20 minutes to take it out or put it in. I can use a forklift and set/unset/change the engine with the gear attached at any time. The reason why I haven't put it in yet is because I bought an AQUADRIVE transmission which is not yet in my possession.

By the way, those steps are locked/unlocked with a smooth push/pull movement and the stairs move on its own up/down. It's amazing how much car technology is being applied in this boat. Once the stairs are up, there's a sound proof door to the engine room with a see thru glass port. In the starboard side there’s a machine shop with all panels/manifolds and a washing machine
