Looks just like the "monterey" fishing boats seen on the West Coast. This one has the cabin extended...

A lot of older boats are beautiful. This one is NOT.
May have been at one time but it looks like it's been hacked up and modified several/many times.
Sorry Monterey 10 but I don't see any resemblance to a Monterey boat here.
But maybe he bought the boat for $1000 and it has a good hull both condition and design and possibly a good engine. Many a low buck boater could be jealous.

Whatever it is, it is not a Monterey. Those goombahs would never have turned out such an ugly boat.

Interesting boat! Looks a commercial boat, converted to pleasure as the water line is way down in the stern and the bow is up and slanted forward. Forward slanting bows are starting to become popular with larger yachts, so it if might be one of the first with the innovated idea? The mast and boom appear to be of local trees which is done up north in Canada/Alaska as they use local pine trees are straight. Harold has character.
