While a far cry from Eric's dramatic trip down the Inside Passage, here is a scattering of shots from our just-concluded two-week trip in the Gulf Islands in BC.
The titles on the shots when the thumbnails are selected are self-explanatory.
The little 1960s GB32 is unique in that according to the owners, who were very knowledgeable, the hull is constructed of teak planks, not the mahogany planks that were standard for wood GBs. They speculated that either a buyer specified teak planks, or more likely the yard simply ran out of mahogany planks when it was time to construct this hull so used teak planks instead.
We saw the gray-hulled fishing boat being restored at Silva Bay last year so it was nice to see it completed.
