Nasty machines

Saw on our internal web newspaper tonight that we just won a $1.4 billion contract to supply the Indian army with AH-64 Apache gunships. The competition was the Russian Mi-28. Not being familiar with the Mi-28 I looked it up. It's an evolution of the famous Mi-24, a helicopter I am familiar with. While I would like to think the Boeing helicopter (originally Hughes) is the better machine I have to award the Mi-28 the prize for bad-ass looks. I don't think I'd want either of those angry at me!

Have one of them looking you in face while having a nice cruise would be a butt pucker moment for sure.

Yes, and it would be helpful if they had reinstalled the sights and provided someone to handle the horizontal-handling controls (I've got the vertical) and several other fellows to load the gun! Better yet, automatic loading and radar-controlled/automatic aiming!
