*Chapman defines "topsides" as both (1) the sides of a vessel above the waterline and (2) on deck as opposed to below deck.

*Peggie, I always thought on a yawl that the mizzen mast is stepped at or behind the rudder post.* That would put the steering behind the main mast.* i think that a ketch has its steering near or...
