Thanks Keith, that's where I have been running and the way I understand Eric, that's just about perfect. I only need to run her up to 3000 to check the pitch of my prop. Running at 3000 is wide open...

Yes, I did once and like everyone else, I shut her down by cutting off the air. The reason she took off was that a seal on the lift pump went bad and let diesel fuel leak into the engine.
