WTB Racor parts

I'm looking for the spring and magnet etc that go at the base of the inner tube under the filter in Racor 900 and 1000s. *I am refurbing a 1000 and having a hard time finding these parts. *Called Racor and they want to sell me an entire new housing! *If you have a complete unit that has corroded or been damaged beyond repair let me know as I could probably use all of the small parts.

I hit up the only local "real" place that sells salvage stuff and they didn't have anything in these sizes. I've also place a CL ad. No luck yet.

There is a sticky note at the top of "Classifieds". Keith has a whole list of marine consignment shops.

For my Racor 500's, I was able to buy a rebuild kit. Is this not the case for yours?

WTB Racor parts

yeah I've already bought rebuild kits and new bowls but my 1000 is missing the spring/magnet/etc that fit on the inside tube. Racor no longer sells this "spring/valve kit" they want you to buy a complete housing! I just spoke with them on Friday about these parts. I've tried to find an old set on a shelf somewhere but I was only able to locate a reference to one ($60!) and even then couldn't get anywhere with contacting the person who supposedly had it.

*I hadn't seen that, thanks for the heads up. *Unfortunately Sailorman is the closest to me and its still over 2 hours away. *I do however ALWAYS stop there when in Ft L'dale. *When I get the name of the place here in N. Ft. Myers I'll add it to the list. *There is another place across the river in Ft. Myers but I haven't ever been able to buy anything for a good price from them (its always been so clo$e to new that I'd just as soon spend a couple of more dollars for warranty or piece of mind of it being a new part)

I'll check tomorrow at the shop. I just replaced both my Racors with new dual units.
There was nothing wrong, just wanted the upgrade, with the new fuel tanks & system.
Let me know if your interested
