Must say I really like your Willard! Truly a well laid out boat that looks like it is well maintained, I'd be knocking on your door if you were on the East coast.

I'm tired of fast moves, I've got a slow groove, on my mind.....
I want to spend some time, Not come and go in a heated rush.....

The best Willard's are the one's that have been re-powered and of course that goes for most other trawlers too.

At that point one has the chance (power wise) to better suit the boat, the owner or (usually) both. I agonized over how much power to put in Willy and in the end put pack in almost exactly what came out. My new engine actually has the same bore and stroke as the replaced Perkins. But most all non-Willard trawlers I'd re-power w smaller engines.

So many skippers here (like Daddyo) are extremely concerned w how much fuel they burn that these fairly rare full displacement and very seaworthy cruisers should be considered seriously.
