An opportunity for someone for sure for the next few days. Its going bye-bye one way or the other.

Ski, buy it for $1000 and pick it up...hang out with me in FL for as long as you want, I will pick it up on the way back north for $2000 after a total engine rebuild...plus parts if necessary to keep up and I will pick it up in Wilmington on my way North.

How could I possibly help you and Archie more and be less self serving....

Do you still have the generator end? I believe I could use it, but I won't know until tomorrow afternoon. I can have someone come and pick it up as well. I will try to send you a PM.
Thanks,
Mike

SKI was right on the money as usual. The piston rings were seized to the pistons with carbon. Looked like a 1950s outboard run on motor oil mix. In fact, the piston tops had about a nickels thickness of carbon on top in spite of my best efforts to always keep it loaded. Also forgot to take pictures.
Anyway, the new Phasor runs like a champ! Very nice package.

That was the same problem I had with mine last year, it had 1400+ hours. It ran fine right up to the time it wouldn’t start, pulled it out and rebuilt and in the boat in time to winterize.

Just curious, how many hours were on that engine? I have to wonder how long before I have that issue since my 8BT is never really loaded to anywhere near its maximum.
