wanted to buy 6' pair of Naiad Fins

If anyone has or knows anyone that is interested in selling a pair of Naiad 6' Fins please let me know.
I would like to upgrade my 4' fins to 6' fins on my 48' LRC.

Why are you upgrading to 6' fins ?

I'm thinking to install some of my 50' Connie, so I'm curious to understand why...

50% More surface area will cut Roll down even more and system will handle it.
If I can find 9' sq ft fins I would go with them. One Report on the Hatteras LRC owners forum upgrading to larger fins cuts roll substantually
Good topic for forum discussion

Try calling Stabilized Marine in Ft Lauderdale. Craig or Tammy will know if they are available. He does all of the work on our Naiads and does a good job and I know they have been in the business for a long time and installed and worked on hundreds of Naiad systems.

Their number is 954-797-7330

I found some fins! Craig with Stabilized Marine rather found a pair 6 1/2 sq ft fins - solid -newer style - my 4' are hollow or balsa core or foam filled

Good find! The new size should be about right, your original ones were undersized for your boat.

I have 7 1/2 sq ft ones on my 50 ft boat, and when the system design was being debated between myself, my yard and Naiad we made it clear that we wanted the fins to be quite effective at speeds as low as 6 kn. I am delighted with their performance and low maintenance.

Ditto on Stabilized Marine. Make sure you tell them which system model number you have. Also you can call Naiad and see if they can refer you to other high volume/servicers of these. I don't know if he is still n the biz but Gary Sorenson of Marine Controls did a lot of Naiad work for a number of large yards on the east coast, and may be able to point you in the right direction. He did a variety of hydraulic work on my boat, good guy. 828-508-4201. The fins are pricey (probably around $2500 each for 6 footers) bought new from Naiad, so take outs are the way to go if you can.
