You can download the carts for free at http://www.charts.noaa.gov/InteractiveCatalog/nrnc.shtml.

I download PDF files for viewing and you should be able to print the charts any place that has a large format printer.

Later,
Dan

Thanks, Dan. I downloaded the files onto a thumb drive and took it to my local Kinkos. They wanted a small fortune to print in color. So, still looking.

You can buy Ocean Grafix printed charts for about twenty bucks each. They are very high quality and printed on water resistant paper. They are better quality than the ones the government printed.

Some of the office supply stores have print operations. I think it was Stables we used to use. Might want to give them a call and Office Depot. Maybe a smaller Mom and Pop printer might be cheaper?

I have some topo type maps printed on water proof/resistant paper and that stuff is wonderful. Twould be nice to have charts print on that paper that is for sure.

Good luck,
Dan

Dan,
At Kinkos, I asked about water proof paper and they said the best they could do was laminate them. To print the charts in color plus laminating was $110 a piece!

I can buy new full size water resistant charts from Amazon for about $19 ea. plus shipping (about $4 ea.).
Seems like my best bet.

I did not check Amazon.

I checked a photo lab I use and their print prices were not any better.

I was looking at online printers, and for the prices they want, $20-30 a print, if one needed a bunch of charts, it starts to make sense to buy a large format printer. Everyone has room for a large format printer on a boat, right?

Later,
Dan

This is who we use at work. They hold up pretty well.
