Recently removed and working great. Has all the parts you see in the pics.
GX 2100 w/ AIS & loud hailer, Ram mic, approx 25' uncut Ram mic cable, flush mounting hardware, mic brackets, wiring harness, & manuals.
Never has had a MMSI number entered.

Not at all Larry.

The AIS had never been connected to my chartplotter. This radio uses NMEA 0183 to connect but my boat has a N2K network. I didn't really use the ram mic as there is a stand alone radio at the same location.

So to get AIS the easiest way I found was a Simrad RS35 vhf. It has the N2K connection( and matches the other electronics). It has gotten some negative feedback but Simrad claims to have fixed a glitch the early units had.

It was a simple hook up and AIS showed up on the chartplotter instantly, so far so good. Time will tell.

I plan to pass thru your area later this year, maybe I could buy you a cold one.
