Solid Brass ships wheel on Craigslist

Don't see many of these. Solid brass, 30". Saw it while perusing Craigslist Treasure Coast, Ft. Pierce, FL (Don's territory). Here's the link:

Oh yeah that's a nice one . If I ever get my "have to" list done . That's one of those things you buy and ask for forgiveness later .

I wonder if it could be bronze ? It would be a conversation piece whatever boat it's on .

Mine!

One of my regrets when we sold our 40'er was not swapping out the wheel. I'd have loved to have it on Seaweed. Ours was similar, but the brass (bronze?) was flat.

This one is definitely prettier.

Fifty pounds!!?? I'd have a difficult time carrying it to the boat and lifting it over the gunwale/railings. My brass cannon is heavy enough.

Yeah, I can already hear the conversation my Admiral would be having with me if I bought it. Now Don (Moonstruck) on the other hand....he's got the boat and the gloss paint job to match.

A brass wheel was probably removed from an outside steering station on a sail boat.
