This unit is a commercial made couch , real steel springs and proper padding , similar to an automotive seat, that folds flat to use as a bunk.

It can be almost touching a wall and folds out to create the bed.

Locks both as seating or bunk. 64 inches long 42 wide when flat

Located in 06457- Middletown, CT $200. firm

Come & get it , or can deliver to the CT shore, if you are passing by

The edge of the seat bottom is about 32 inches from a wall.

The seat bottom is 22 wide and 64-65 long. The seat back is 17-18 in high.

Probably pretty expensive to ship as the operating stuff on the bottom would still make it 64 long ,42 wide and 16 high in a box.

I can store it if you are coming thru the Panama Canal to pick it up!

KLEN ,

In our phone conversation I mentioned the couch was usually bolted or screwed down.

This is not necessary to function as a couch , only so the unit can be converted to a bunk single handed.

If its secured a single handed pull will release the latches and allow the shape shifting to operate.

If not secured one person will pull the sitting cushoned section foward and a second person is required to push down on the back , so its mechanism will allow the back to lower in place , and then lock.

The summer return to CT also allows anyone nearby Middletown Ct to come see this "zero clearance couch.

The couch can be bolted to the deck with little clearance in the back.

With a pull on a lever the unit folds down with the bottom sliding out to make a functional bunk.

Loads better sleeping than a sheet of plywood with a hunk of foam .
