    For Sale ads MUST include:
    • Asking price
    • Location
    • A Basic Description
    • Clear statement whether you are the owner or non-owner (posting for friend, relative, or acquaintance)
    • Don't forget to select: FOR SALE, WANTED or FREE in the Title block.
    All ads should also include ALL the following:
    • Pertinent maintenance and condition information
    • Exterior picture or pictures
    • Interior picture or pictures (boats)

    Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or �feels� wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers �agents� and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

    Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

    Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

I am selling a Perkins t6.354 diesel complete with everything, less an inter cooler. The motor was removed running with 1700 hours from a Roughwater. The owner later decided to repower with a new motor and sold this one off. I bought it as a spare to have In case something happened to one of the motors on my Californian 34. The hour meter came with it showing 1700 hours (I have since lost it in a move). The old owner seemed very honest and had nothing to gain by lying about the hours as he was just tying to get rid of the motor from his shop. I have no reason to believe the hours are not correct. I am asking $2400 for all. The starter will need a rebuild as I did replace mine with the one that came with the engine. You can PM me for further info. The engine is located in Southwrn Cal.

What size in hp - from what I've read the 6.354's came in a range of sizes.
 
185 hp with the intercooler. I believe it can be run without and would be rated at 165 hp. Thanks for pointing the lack of hp info out.
 
Seems like a decent price.You would probably get more for it by parting it out! You might also want to state if it's a standard rotation or CW rotation.
 
I would like to keep in intact so it can help somebody who may need a complete running replacement motor. Would be a shame to take one out existence.
