Perkins 6354M engine core

I have a Perkins 6354M engine for sale as a core. It's mostly complete, and a non turbo. I purchased it thinking I'd rebuild it as a spare, but never got around to it. I've kept the starter but almost everything else is there. It may also come with a B/W CR2 reduction gear attached, but it's probably worth more than the engine. I'm open to almost ANY offer, as I have it stored in Seattle, and need to get it moved. Contact me through our website at www.arctictraveller.com

To be honest, I'm not sure. The 6354M engines in my trawler both turn the same direction, and the B/W CR2 on the Stbd side reverses the prop rotation using a bull gear. It's that gear that makes the CR2 so valuable, since they can be damaged if the pinion gear shaft gets loose. When that happens, it eats the bull gear and they are no longer made. The only way to repair one with a worn gear is to find a used one. I can get the serial number of the engine on next Tuesday if that helps...............Arctic Traveller
