Norcold portable

Norcold portable. Found under one of my setee benches wired into 12V. Pulled out, brought home and plugged into 115vac and works great. $120. I have the 12Vdc & 110Vac cords.

I would think local pickup only.

Based on the retail price of one of those, that price is a steal.

I've got two of those, a small one like that and one of the large ones. They are great units.

If that unit is in as good a condition as it looks, somebody is going to get a great deal.

That's a rebranded Engel MRFT40, made by Matsushita. I have one, bought in 1981. Its never been touched (no R&M, zilch!) and still works perfectly as a refer or as a freezer. When not 4WD/camping it was plugged into AC in the garage as a beer fridge. They were the gold standard way back, and may very well still be.

Think twice before selling it. Very flexible piece of kit to have, and one day you might want some extra capacity back on the boat.

These days in Oz the latest 40 litre model in metal like that, which uses a bit less power, sells for over A$1200

Think Twice before selling

I got one of those 20 years ago when I bought my boat. After building in a refrain, I sold the Norcold and have been kicking myself ever since.

Agreed! I paid about $750 plus shipping for a Whynter dual zone portable. It's great but is made in China so anything is possible even though it has the Danfoss compressor. That is cheap money, I would keep it as a back up.

If you will box and ship it, I will pay the UPS freight.
