Networked Boat by EnGenius-FREE

This came with the boat when I bought it. I replaced it with a different system and have no use for it anymore. It includes the wireless router, access point, PoE (power over ethernet), antenna, and a couple ethernet cables. All that is needed is an antenna mount and cable and patience for programming it/setting it up. The owner manual should be available online. Pay for shipping and you can have it. I am in Seattle so if you are too, I can hand it off.

Darn, that was quick. If it doesn't work out I'm in Gig Harbor and would be happy to drive up.

I am curious what new system you replaced that one with and how you found the install and set up.

I installed the Rogue Wave Pro, which has the antenna and the ethernet bridge combined rather than separate pieces of hardware. It is similarly powered by PoE. I used my own wifi router that also has wired ethernet ports, whereas the old system is only wireless. My onboard PC does not have a wifi card so I wire it directly to the router's LAN port. The wifi router then provides a wireless network for appletv, iPad, and any other wireless device. The connectivity software built into the Rogue Wave is simple to use, a big advantage over the old system. It also seems to stay connected longer, more stable. I really like it so far.
