MV Penta, a 36' converted gill-netter
MV Penta is a classic, 36' West Coast Gill Netter. Built in 1961 by Sather Boat Works of New Westminster, she fished for only a short time before having her license bought back and was converted for pleasure use. Extensive refurbishment has been done including refastening of the planking below the waterline and professional re-caulking. Interior furnishings are largely complete, but unfinished due to her owner's passing. Accommodation for four in three berths plus a convertible settee for one or two children. Power is a Volvo MD47 six cylinder diesel for reliable and economical cruising. Large fuel, water, and waste tanks allow for long periods of self-sufficiency. She is a proven cruiser, having extensively explored the inner waterways of the BC coast.
We are seeing expressions of interest, viewings can be made by appointment. Vessel is currently in dry storage in Sidney, BC.
